Reading is often overlooked as a Stonehenge gateway, but the GWR connection to Salisbury is one of the fastest on the network. At under 90 minutes door-to-stones, it compares favourably with much larger cities. Reading station has direct links from London Paddington, making it a useful interchange for visitors arriving from the west of the capital too.
