Option 1: The Stonehenge Shuttle (recommended)

Our shuttle departs directly from Caboose at 115 South Western Road, Salisbury, 2 minutes from the train station exit. It runs six times daily at 10:15, 11:15, 12:15, 13:15, 14:15 and 15:15. The journey to Stonehenge takes 35 minutes with no intermediate stops.

The £15 return ticket includes your outbound journey, return journey, and free luggage storage at Caboose for the day. Seats are limited to 12 per departure, so booking in advance is strongly recommended.

Option 2: The Stonehenge Tour bus

The Stonehenge Tour (operated by Salisbury Reds) is a hop on hop off service that departs from outside Salisbury train station and also stops at Old Sarum. It is larger, runs on a fixed public timetable, and does not include luggage storage or refreshments. Tickets cost between £22 and £25 per adult.

Option 3: Taxi from Salisbury to Stonehenge

A taxi from Salisbury to Stonehenge takes around 20 minutes each way. Expect to pay £30 to £40 each way, making it £60 to £80 return for a single person. For groups of 4 or more this can be competitive with the shuttle. There is a taxi rank outside Salisbury train station.

Option 4: Driving from Salisbury to Stonehenge

The drive takes roughly 20 minutes via the A360 or A303. Parking at Stonehenge must be booked in advance through English Heritage and costs £18 per car for a standard visit. The car park can reach capacity during peak season. Note that arrival is in the Stonehenge coach car park, not beside the stones.
