Which departure time should I choose?

10:15 departure: best for a full day

The earliest departure gets you to Stonehenge by 10:50, just as the site opens and before tour groups arrive. Most visitors who take this departure choose the 13:00 or 14:00 return wave, giving them 2–3 hours at the monument.

12:15 departure: best for a relaxed morning

A mid-morning departure from Salisbury lets you explore the city, visit the Cathedral, or have a proper breakfast before heading out. You arrive at Stonehenge by 12:50 and can take the 14:00 or 15:00 return wave.

14:15 or 15:15 departure: best for afternoon light

Afternoon light at Stonehenge is exceptional for photography. Crowds thin out as tour groups leave. The 14:15 departure is eligible for the 16:00 return wave. The 15:15 is eligible for the 17:00 peak wave only — confirm with the driver on the morning.
