Train: Bath Spa to Salisbury
Great Western Railway operates direct services from Bath Spa to Salisbury. The journey takes approximately 50 to 60 minutes. Trains run hourly. There is no need to change it's a straightforward direct service through the Wiltshire countryside.
From Bath Spa, aim for a departure no later than 09:00 to arrive in Salisbury in time for the 10:15 or 11:15 shuttle. First services from Bath typically run from 06:00 onwards.
Salisbury to Stonehenge
From Salisbury Train Station, cross to Caboose (2 minutes) and board the Salisbury to Stonehenge Shuttle. £15 return includes the outbound journey, return pick-up and coffee. The 10:15 departure delivers you to Stonehenge at 10:40 before the crowds arrive.
Back to Bath
Return to Salisbury on your booked shuttle. Trains from Salisbury to Bath Spa run hourly and take 55 minutes. You can comfortably be back in Bath by 18:00 after a full Stonehenge afternoon or stay for dinner in Salisbury first.
Making a Longer Trip
Combining Bath and Stonehenge in a single day is ambitious but very doable with early starts. Alternatively, spend a night at Caboose Salisbury and make it a two-day Wiltshire break at a much more relaxed pace.
